BASIC:Integrated Birth Doula Workshop ~ Introduction to Childbearing, Birth Doula Workshop and 3-Hour Breastfeeding for Doulas
This 3 1/2 day workshop is open to anyone with a desire to support women and their partners during their childbearing year.
Prior to attending BASIC you are required to read PREGNANCY,CHILDBIRTH AND THE NEWBORN: THE COMPLETE GUIDE 2008 EDITION, by Simkin, et al. and BREASTFEEDING MADE SIMPLE" by Mohrbacher and Kendell-Tacket.
BASIC is approved by DONA International, the premier doula organization in the world today, to help you meet three requirements for DONA certification.
Upon completion of this workshop, you will receive three certificates:Introduction to Childbearing, Birth Doula Workshop and 3-hour Breastfeeding Workshop
An integrated format, limited class size and a complimentary follow-up meeting approximately 8 weeks later make BASIC an innovative workshop. Nutritious snacks, beverags and lunch are provided each day. BASIC is baby friendly;quiet nurslings are welcome.

Early Bird Registration (before March 22, 2010) is $500.00 Late registration (after March 22,2010) is $550.00.
